Xmas with the Ballocks

We spent xmas eve with my parents at our house. My mom came over and made a big prime rib and then we opened presents. Isley had a blast playing with the tissue paper! Everyone spoiled her and she made out with some pretty cool stuff. My favorite was a white puffy Gap coat from Uncle Darin and Bradly. They have great taste. We tried the coat on and she couldn't sit back- it was a scene straight from "The Christmas Story". We laughed so hard at her! Here is the Gap jacket. She is actually trying to lean back on the pillow, but can't.
All eyes on the munchkin.

She loved the tissue paper. She kept pulling it over her eyes and then down again- her version of Peek-a-Boo.

This was the best- my mom bought her a recordable "The Night Before Xmas" and recorded herself reading. Something she will have forever.

She really cleaned up this year!!

First xmas dinner. She had green beans and pears. YUM!

6 months

Here are her 6 month pics...how time flies (she is now almost 7 months). We had a friend do her pics and they turned out beautiful! Check out her blog here http://www.brittneywoodphotography.blogspot.com/ I love her bright blue eyes- and no they are not enhanced.
At her 6 month appt she was 26" long and 15.5# She is giggling and moves her little legs nonstop. When I come into her room and get her from her crib she laughs and bounces around like crazy. Melts my heart.
She is a happy little baby who steals our hearts every second of the day. And even though she still wakes up a few times a night to nurse ( I can't remember the last time I slept more than a 4 hour chunk) we wouldn't change anything about being parents- it is the best!

Cool Mom Bookey

Cool Mom Bookey gave Isley an adorable leapard fleece jump suit (plus a couple extra pieces to mix and match). I dressed her up in the outfit, but decided she looked like a jungle cat so we paired the pants with a pink monkey onsie. Thank you so much Cool Mom!! Hope the twins get similiar outfits so we can have 3 jungle cats roaming around. We also really love the Alaska book-we have read it almost every night. On a side note- her hair is more out of control. It now sticks straight up in the air.

First Turkey Day!!

Isley had two wonderful Thanksgivings this year. Her Thursday celebration was a little rough. We all had our H1N1 vaccinations on Saturday, then on Wednesday she went in for her 6 month shots plus seasonal flu (5 shots total, 7 vaccines). All the shots were a little much for the munchkin and she started a fever early Thursday morning. It hovered around 101-102F, but she was a champ and went to Gma and Gpa Dixons to celebrate. We fed her a bit of sweet potato, but she wasn't in the mood. On Sunday we went to Gma and Gpa Ballocks for round 2. She was healthy and this time enjoyed sweet peas with us.
Lounging around, trying to break her fever.

Enjoying her soft book. The cow moos when squeezed.

Cool Winter Day

Isley is still jogging with mom. We went out to the Snake River Landing to enjoy the cool winter day. It was about 30F out, but she was bundled up and stayed nice and toasty!

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day everyone!!! Words of advice: Watch out for the pope's nose in the stuffing! HA!!! (my brother found it in his helping of stuffing two years in a row- nothing funnier than Darin biting into the butt bone!)

Vandal Pride

Here are a few pics of the little munchkin! She is sitting up- mostly unassisted. Have to keep an eye on her cause she still wants to push backwards ever once in a while.
She has graduated from rice cereal to peas, carrots and green beans. For Thanksgiving we are going to treat her to homemade mashed sweet potatoes. YUUUMM!!
She is a little out of wack since the time change. She has been waking up to hang out with mom and dad at 6am. We don't mind and she does back to sleep till 8am after about an hour.
She wore her Vandal onsie Uncle Darin bought for her to cheer on the Vandals against BSU. Unfortunatley it wasn't enough- be she still loves them!!
Good Morning Sunshine!

Carrots...

Vandal Pride!!!!

Naked time (she does this everyday, in front of the fire for about an hour- she loves it!!!)

Spooky!

I wanted to dress the whole family up like pumpkins, but Corey wasn't too excited about the idea. Maybe next year....
These pics are from the day after Halloween. We had to visit grandparents and didn't have enought time for pictures so I had to dress her back up in the Halloween outfit the next morning. She doesn't seem to mind.

Hair Today..

The hair on Isley's head just keep growing and growing. When she gets out of the bath it just sticks straight up and doens't go down until she sleeps it off. It is pretty cute though!

Furry

Corey's mom bought this fur vest for Isley- she thought it was cute and we could come up with some story about Corey shooting an animal and making her a vest with it. Don't count on me ever making any clothes out of Corey's kills, but the vest does make for a funny pic.

I love sleep sacks and Isley had grown out of her fleece one so I went on a shopping trip. I picked up this sleep sack and didn't realize how big it was until I opened it up. It is really plush and made be Cloud B so it will be perfect for the winter.

Rice Cereal Day 1

I have been bugging Corey to buy a new dining room table (we have been using one he bought from Fred Meyer before we were married) and he keeps saying we don't need one b/c we wouldn't use it. I could have gone out and bought one myself, but I wanted him to come too...so I bribed him a bit. I told him if we bought a new table Isley could start having rice cereal. Since she only takes a bottle at daycare (of wonderful mommy's milk) Corey has been a little left out of the loop. Needless to say, he was excited about the chance to feed his little munchkin. We went out and bought a big (seats 8) table and gave her rice cereal the next day.
She did really well and ate all 15 spoonfuls of it! She'll stay on rice cereal for a little while and then, as the doctor prescribed, move to green veggies, then yellow veggies and finally fruits.
Before rice cereal on the new table!!
First spoonful!

Not too bad!

Her hands are a little tasty too!

BeBe Pod

My good friend Catherine got a BeBe Pod for Isley and she loves it! She gets to sit like a big girl and watch everything going on. She even helped mom bake cookies for dad (he had been asking for homemade cookies for about a year so I finally broke down and make some).
So THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Catherine- she loves it!!
