Aspen

This is a little late (a few months) but the pictures are great and we had such an awesome time. Corey ran in a 28-mile mountain race through the Maroon Bells in Aspen, CO. One of my best friends lives there so we packed the family and went for a visit. Drive down was great (mostly as night while the girls slept, but the ride home was another story). We had a blast staying with Lindsey and love that area. Corey is acutally driving down for a hunting trip today.

Isley enjoying her popicle with Linds.
These are the Bells that Corey ran over, around and through...
Isley had a ball playing in the red sand.
 Mom and Isley
Happy Quinnley hanging out on our balnket.
It rained a few times so we had to book it back to the car and hang out. For some reason Isley always puts sunglasses on backwards- don't know why...

North Idaho

Headed to spokane for my cousins wedding. We stopped and stayed with our good friends in CDA for night and had a blast. They have a set of twins that are Isley's age and they had so much fun running around, playing dress up and wrestling together. It was really sweet to see.

Our hotel stay in Missoula- mommy's full bed in the morning.
Dancing the night away. Isely had a ball dancing the night away- during cocktail hour at least. As the dance floor action picked up, she was a little intidimated. It was really fun to watch her run and dance around. Quinn was exhausted and slept on mommy during the dancing...

Getting Daddy to dance too! It usually takes a few drinks to get him to dance with me...

Messy baby

We have been giving Quinn fruit through a mesh binkie and it can get a little messy.  Last encounter with strawberries ended in an almost-emergency call to 911 cause we thought her head was bleeding. Luckily, it was just a little strawberry juice!
She is crawling all over and now pulling herself up on everything. So much for having a little immobile baby for a few more months.
Isley is officially potty trained- and it only took about 8 months of patience. She has been "potty-trained" for quite a while, but she was petrified to use a potty- big or little. We had tried everything to get her to use one. She would run around naked all day with no accidents, but when she had to go she had to use a diaper. Well she finally overcame her fear and goes just fine with no accidents. Only issue is going potty outside. We tried everything to get her to go potty without a diaper on that we constantly suggested going in the grass or in the pool-  now she wants to do it. So we have taken a few pit stops while out and about- I guess since little boys can do it so can little girls.....

Balls of fun

Quinn found one of Isley's balls and had a blas trying to play with it. I couldn't help but snap a few pics of her little eyes peering over the ball.

Isley drank her milk and watched us!

Feed Me

Started feeding Quinn solids. The first week she only got rice cereal, but we have added peas, carrots, squash, green beans and swet potatoes and she loves them all!! I have even given her some fresh pear and watermelon in those mesh binkies. She thinks she is in a candy store when she gets one of those. The hardest part about feeding her is her want to feed herself- we end up wrestling for the spoon. Isley gives a helping hand too, but that usually ends up with between a wrestling match for the spoon with Isley letting go and Quinn choking on it. Oh sisters....

Speedy Gonzales

Corey and I have been racing a bunch this summer. Corey stops mid July for scouting season and I keep plugging away. I have had a few good halfs this summer and my legs are coming around after having Quinn. After some of the races they have a Kids Fun Run. We entered Isley in one in June and she loved it- ran the entire mile herself. So we signed her up for another one after my race. Corey ran it with her and she had a blast. We chant "Beat the boys, beat the boys!" She is going to be my little Olympian!
Waitng for the gun.
Running like the wind. I didn't see it, but she took a little tumble in the beginning. Jumped right back up and kept going.
The whole family after the race.
Mama and Quinn. I love that round face of hers. She is about thisclose to crawling- way too early if you ask me, but she will be on the move shortly. I might have two Olympians on my hands. An 800m runner and a sprinter!
Me and my girls. Daddy is so lucky- HA!

Summer Bums

Love running through the sprinklers naked! Isley enjoys strippping off her clothes at home. We try to keep the nakedness to the backyard, but sometimes she takes her pants off in the front too- our neighbors sure love us!
Here Isley is running through the sprinklers with nothing but sunscreen on. Luca is growing like crazy and still jumping all over Isley. Sometimes she loves it, others times there are lots of tears!

 Lead frog!
Our second little Vandal. She is rolling all over the place. I had her in her bouncer on the counter while I was running around the house. Looked over and she had rolled on her belly and was haning half-way off the seat ready to fall on the counter. Scared me to death- guess it is finally time to but the bouncer away. She is growing too fast!
Love those round little cheeks and dimples
