Hats and Pretzels

Sorry about the time lapse- been busy with everything. Isley is motoring around. She can't seem to sit still and is already starting to pull herself up. We have our tickets for her first out of state visit to California. We leave for a long weekend at the end of March. The weather should be beautiful so we can take some trips to the park and get in some sunny runs. Pretty sure all of the great grandparents and aunt and uncles are excited to see her and meet her!
When Isley was about 4 months old she put on a little hat show for me. She didn't seem to mind too much so one morning a couple of weeks ago I decided another show was in order. She wasn't has excited about it this time, but she still looked like a doll.

She is a pretty good eater and I try to feed her all sorts of healthy stuff. We did sneak in a hard pretzel for her to gnaw on (I took off the salt) and she loved it. She kept breaking it down into soggy pieces so we snagged it away and about a half an hour later I noticed she was sucking on something. I opened her mouth and there was a part of the pretzel glued to the roof of her mouth- all mushy and breaking off so she would get little tastes every once in a while. Here she is enjoying the pretzel.

Babbling backwards

Isley is growing like crazy. She is crawling a little. She takes a few "steps" forward and then flattens out. She is great at crawling backwards - still has to figure that one out. She can push herself to the sitting position from her stomach. She is becoming really attached to mommy. I was brushing my teeth this morning and she even said "mama". I think she was just babbling, but it still melted my heart. Corey is hoping for a "dada" first so he is sure it was just babbling. She was sick this week- running nose, cough and mild fever. She is doing much better. She went for a 14 mile jog with me last week- did great! She loves to be outside even is it is only 35F out.
Her personality gets cuter and cuter everyday.

So determined to go forward.
Going for the camera.

Some giggles before bedtime.

Puppy Time

Ash and Isley hanging out. Since the dogs are mostly outside they are still getting to know Isley. They love to sniff her and check her out- she also enjoys checking them out. They are going to have a great time running around together this summer.

This is my favorite site- coming in to grab the munchkin after a nap. I LOVE seeing her little eyes peek above her crib.
