Tree Decor

Just some snap shots of us decorating our lovely tree. I am all about the live trees (much more Green) and we didnt' have time to cut one down this year, so we picked one up at the Y. It is just our style! Isley helped decorate this year and didn't break any of the plastic bulbs. Don't mind the hair- we just got back from swimming.

Fly Tying

Isley loves to help daddy do anything with fishing or hunting. She loves to play with the deer sheds, jump around in his tent, fish on the stairs and her new find.....helping daddy tie flies.

Late Halloween/Nov

This is only a little late-HA! Isley fit into her pumpkin costum from last year- so she was another darling pumpkin. We took her to Boo at the Zoo and she had a blast running around looking at the animals- and we kept er to two tootsie rolls all night.
On Halloween she helped pass out candy- I thought she would be more interested than she was, but we had fun seeing all the kids come to our door.
Her monster hat and vest. I love all the fun kids hats they have available now. I could buy 100's of them, but we just stuck to this one. And Grandma bought her an elmo hat too.

Koal ripped her leg open hunting this year. She had to wear the cone for about a week. Isley enjoyed the cone more than Koal.

Practicing using her swimming floaty. We actaully haven't taken this to the pool, but in makes for a fun toy.

Goggles

We have been taking Isley swimming about once a week. Out gym has a "therapy" pool that is heated to about 96 F and it is perfect to splash around in for an hour. Our good friend Jona bought these goggles for Isley- I wasn't sure she would wear them, but she LOVES them! She even wears them in the bath tub. I think she looks like a Harry Potter character.

Trucks and 30

Don't mind the pics of my 30th. The first is blurry, but it is a good belly shot (27 weeks) and the family one is just not cute. Corey and I went out to a delicious dinner with some good friends. Thought about going dancing afterwards, but the thought of me shaking it on the dance floor with my belly hanging out just wasn't appetizing. I keep that to the living room with Isley right now- she doesn't mind if my belly hangs out or I am a little off beat.

Isley loves to play with her trucks. The cement truck is hers and daddy and I have to share the dump truck- depending on who she wants to play with her.

Snow Fall

Our weather is always changing fast. It was 90 the week before this and it was only supposed to rain, but we ended up with about 3 inches of heavy snow for a couple of days. Isley loved it! This is the coat Uncle Darin bought her for her first xmas- she has worn it for 3 years now.

Trying out some snow.

Testing out more snow. She had a few bites from each ball and was done. Have to make sure she grabs clean snow.

Such fun!

Dress Up

My little Turkey all gussied up. I must say she is pretty darling- in a dress or strutting around in a diaper with mud and her finger up her nose!

River

Isley loves to walk around anywhere. We were headed to dinner and took a little stop at our Green Belt to chase the ducks and race around. I actually took my camera to catch some pics of the turkey and us.
This first picture is hard to tell, but Isley LOVES vegetables. She will eat cucumbers like apples, broccoli like it is candy and I made her some cauliflour and she devoured it. This is her eating cauliflour before dinner- she is a big snacker when she gets home from daycare. Sometimes I wonder how her little belly can hold so much food.

Mama and Turkey at the falls.
Checking out the geese.

Sitting on the horse bench. IF has a really fun "Art you can sit on" program and have about 30 cute benches around the river and downtown. Daddy and Turkey on the Rattlesnake bench.

Catchin Fish

Fishing trip number 2 was a a success. Uncle Darin took us in his new truck, which Isley loves. We packed the whole lot of us and headed down to the kids pond for round two. This time we took the right bait and caught 3 fish with a few more bites. Isley had a blast again, but didn't want to get too close to the fish. She eased up a bit by the 3rd fish.
She still loves the dogs- Koal is her favorite. Probably because she is not as big or active as Ash.

Loving on Koal.

Helping the boys fish.

This was the first fish. She loved the whole catching process, but didn't want to get too close to the fish and let daddy know.

Get it Daddy, get it.

Fishing

Took the Turkey fishing at our local kids pond. She had a blast eating snacks, running, throwing rocks and playing in the dirt. We didn't catch any fish, but she likes fishing so far..... have to keep going till we catch one.
She snuck the bait marshmallow while daddy wasn't looking.

Helping daddy reel in the worm.
The mallow.

My 17.5 week belly pics. Still in all my normal clothes, but will probably have to start unbuttoning my pants in the next few weeks.

Baby Birds and Baby Dolls

These are the baby swallows we let nest on our front window. Thought it would be fun for Isley to watch them grow and perch on our window seal. They just barely started coming out of their nest and doing this. The parents sometimes get a little fired up and dart around, but no attacks yet.
She has been on love with swimming this summer. If she sees her suit- she insists on wearing it, over all her clothes.

So big news....we are welcoming a little bundle of joy at the end of January!!!! I was sick for about 9 weeks, but am finally getting over that. It was bad- vegetables were not appealing at all, nor were most foods so we didn't have too many home cooked meals and were eating out a lot! But just as our garden is gearing up, veggies are ok again.

We are trying to let Isley know there is a baby in mommy's tummy and she rubs it for a while and then hits it for a little while...

She likes to drag her stuffed animals on the dogs leashes- the other day she put the choke chain on her only baby doll. It was a bit disturbing, but pretty funny. Guess we will have to keep a close eye on the baby when he comes (don't know the gender and won't until the baby comes, just calling a he like we did with Isley).

Running

This is a picture of us hiking with the goats. We took Isley and 2 goats- she let us pack her for a while then insisted on walking (which goes really slow as she investigates every bug and plant she sees). Heise Half-Marathon

Corey on his 10-mile leg of the To Bone and Back Relay. Ususally teams consist of 8 people (5-miles each) but we had a 4-person team and each took 10 miles. The course is really hilly and by the time we ran it was toasty out. We placed 5th overall out of 100+ teams.

Bone and back relay.

Our 4-person team.
