Speedy Gonzales

Corey and I have been racing a bunch this summer. Corey stops mid July for scouting season and I keep plugging away. I have had a few good halfs this summer and my legs are coming around after having Quinn. After some of the races they have a Kids Fun Run. We entered Isley in one in June and she loved it- ran the entire mile herself. So we signed her up for another one after my race. Corey ran it with her and she had a blast. We chant "Beat the boys, beat the boys!" She is going to be my little Olympian!
Waitng for the gun.
Running like the wind. I didn't see it, but she took a little tumble in the beginning. Jumped right back up and kept going.
The whole family after the race.
Mama and Quinn. I love that round face of hers. She is about thisclose to crawling- way too early if you ask me, but she will be on the move shortly. I might have two Olympians on my hands. An 800m runner and a sprinter!
Me and my girls. Daddy is so lucky- HA!

Summer Bums

Love running through the sprinklers naked! Isley enjoys strippping off her clothes at home. We try to keep the nakedness to the backyard, but sometimes she takes her pants off in the front too- our neighbors sure love us!
Here Isley is running through the sprinklers with nothing but sunscreen on. Luca is growing like crazy and still jumping all over Isley. Sometimes she loves it, others times there are lots of tears!

 Lead frog!
Our second little Vandal. She is rolling all over the place. I had her in her bouncer on the counter while I was running around the house. Looked over and she had rolled on her belly and was haning half-way off the seat ready to fall on the counter. Scared me to death- guess it is finally time to but the bouncer away. She is growing too fast!
Love those round little cheeks and dimples

Fishing

We have a wonderful little fish pond just a mile from our house. They stock the pond with little trout and supposedly some big ones too. We took the girls on a sunny afternoon and they had a blast. Well, Quinn slept and Isley had a blast- jumping on the rocks, throwing rocks, petting the fish and playing in the dirt. We are sure to take more trips this summer.
 Her big catch!
Petting her pet fish. Unfortunately, he didn't survive, but he will feed the bellies of some osprey that live nearby.

Thumbs and girls

Looks like Quinn is going to be a finger or thumb sucker too! Isley still sucks her frist two fingers and Quinn is trying to find hers. Guess that is what happens when they don't have a binky.
Daddy with two of his 4 girls (me, I, Q and Luca). Looks like he will be dragging a bunch of girls through the hills...

Mother's Day pics

I took these pics of the girls for Mother's Day presents to our mom's. I love how they turned out- some of them really capture their personalities right now. Isley is just a little ball of silly and Quinn is all smiles! I love them to pieces!

Trying to get all three of us. The other pic of the three of us has Quinn spitting up...
Isley holding Quinn. This is the first time she has held her since she was 2 days old. She did great and didn't drop her.
You'll have to excuse the milk curds on her cheeks- She had a full tummy and some of the milk came up when she was on her tummy.
My little 3-year old. Keeps me on my toes all day, every day!

Luca and Quinn

Here are some recent pictures of Quinn. She is growing so fast- I can't believe she is almost 4 months. I also can't believe Isley turns 3 in one week- how time flies! I still have all of her presents and a party to plan...
Things have been super busy around here. I have some great pictures of some of our adventures that I will post soon.
Isley still has a love/hate relationship with Luca. Luca is a little ball of energy- she runs and jumps on everything and uses her teeth nonstop. If Isley is running around she tends to jump on her and pull her hair or shirt or whatever toy she has.
Quinn sleeps in a cradle next to our bed and by about 5:30-6am she wants in bed with mom. I usually end up holding her while I sleep. She kept sleeping the other day and I couldn't resist a pic of her in my spot. Our little queen bed is pretty full by 7am!

Back to Work

My last two weeks of work have been a whirlwind.  My plate is FULL! Let me just list the things that have been going on since I started back:
1. Put Koal to sleep
2. Cavity (haven't had one in about 18 years)
3. Kinked my neck which has resulted in 6 (count them) mirgaines (which I never get)
4. Doc put me on hydrocodone for the migraines and the first one I took kicked my butt- sick all day at work, even ran out of a meeting to puke, had to dump my milk (which I NEVER do)
5. Corey's busy time = working till 9pm almost every night and working all day on Sat and Sun
6. New puppy (might be more work than an infant)
7. Screaming kid the first 2 days of daycare (everything is back to normal now)
8. Sick little girl. 105 F temp. Her temp has been staying around 103 and won't come down. Ear infection, eye infection, nose infection. First antiobiotic not working, went back to doc today for something else- fingers crossed it works.
9. Supposed to be heading to Vegas in two days with both girls (in the car)
10. Corey left today for a business trip and won't be back till Thursday when we are gone
And that has just been the first 2 weeks back to work. Hopefully things start to get back to normal. Not complaining or anything- just wanted everyone to know why I have been MIA.

Isley is such a good little helper with Quinn. I had Quinn sitting in the Boppy and Isley was playing with her Ipod- I looked over and Isley placed her stuffed dog on Quinn. Guess she thought Quinn needed some company. I love the pic of Quinn staring at the beast wondering what in the world it is doing on her belly.

Isley pumping milk for Carlos just like mom does for Quinn. Too funny!
