Father's Day and Nudist

Happy Father's Day!! Although Daddy is in Alaska with his dad and brother we still had a wonderful Father's Day- full of pancakes, gardening and dog walks! We will have another celebration when daddy is back in town. Corey is a terrrific daddy. He does all of the typical daddy stuff like diapers and dinner and baths, but goes beyond that and is so wonderful with her. I can't wait to watch them through the years.
Not only does he show his "true colors" (inside joke) around Isley, he also lets her have horsey rides sans diaper- with no fear in his eyes.
Did I mention she is practicing being a nudist??

Shots and Horses

Isley went in for her 1-year shots. Ususally she has an oral and 2-3 needles in the leg, but this time she just had shots in the legs...and 7 of them!! I felt so bad for her- she is fine when we hold her down, but as soon as the first one goes in she starts to scream. And for anyone who has ever heard me cry (which is probably a lot b/c I am a crier) she cries exactly like me. I didn't know it was genetic, but when she really starts crying she starts to gasp for air and it sounds like she is hyperventillating.

Toothy girl.

They put band-aids over the needle point so her litte thighs were covered in various band-aids.

Corey had been trying to give her horsey rides for a while, but she didn't quite understand what he was trying to do so it usually consisted of me holding her on his back walking around the house. Well she finally figured it out and whenever daddy lays on the ground she races over for a horsey ride. I love daddys and daughters.

3-0

Corey turns the big 3-0 tomorrow!! I can't believe we (and I just mean him) are moving into the next decade of life. He still has to decide what he wants to do for his big day- Beerfest or hiking and home with the family. Whichever we are having cherry cream cheese pie thanks to his mom and german chocolate cake thanks to me (and betty crocker).
I competed in a triathlon last weekend. The weather was horrible and the water was icy! I have never been so cold in my life and it took me about 2 hours of biking and running until I had any feeling in my legs. The cold weather really took a toll and I ended up in 4th...BOOO... have to redeem myself at the next one.
Isley took her first unassisted steps. She only took 2, but she is getting there. She also has two big buck tooth on the top- with a huge space between. Hopefully that is normal and as they come through more and the others come through it will push them together. They are pretty adorable!
We can't wait for the warm weather to come- we have lots of fun rompers that need to be broken in.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!! Love you extra!
As daddy says, "She could eat corn on the cob through a picket fence."

I couldn't resist this picture. She runs around for an hour at night sans diaper and the wedgies that come with being free are priceless.
