Blueberry face

I just can't keep her from getting blueberry all over her face when she eats them. I turned my head for one second and looked back and found this delicious little blueberry stained face. I couldn't even wipe her clean- we just peeled off her clothes and gave her a shower.

We bought a bike seat for her and she loves to ride. She will grab her helmet and carry it around waiting for us to take her. She gets a little mad if we don't get her on the bike asap. She wants to spend all her time outside and I am trying to figure out what we can do on our blistering cold winter days- just buy a big snow suit again!

Grandma's outfit

Thank you Great Grandma Clark for the adorable outfit!!! Perfect for the end of the summer/fall. She had fun visiting with you and Grandpa in Portland- miss you already.

I took these self portraits with Isley- I had to hold her down to get them. I can't believe how dark I am compared to her- and I load up on the sunscreen (on the both of us). Makes me sad to think of the wrinkles I am going to have when I am older.

Hair Tales

Once again- Isley has such wild hair. Corey and I have differing views on how to comb it- he likes to make her look like a little man and I prefer the more natural girl look. He was out hiking the other night so I took advantage after a bath and tried some new looks on the Munchkin. Too funny and too cute!
My favorite- natural and flowing
Wild and crazy after fighting with the caterpillar.

Corey's favorite- little old man.
A new one- Italian mobster (with golden locks)

Pigtail

Isley is growing and growing and so is her hair, but mostly just the hair on the top of her head. It is constantly in her eyes and barrettes don't work because they always fall out of her wispy waves. I found some old braces bands (yes I have kept them since 7th grade) and decided they would work perfectly. I think she looks like a Dr. Suess character from Whoville.

She likes to dig through my gym bag and always comes out with some sort of treasure. She found my swim cap and carried it around for a while- I put it on my head to show her where it goes and so she tried to do the same. And she laughed when I put it on my head- just like her daddy.

Portland trip

Isley and I made a trip up to Portland for a short weekend to visit cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents. I forgot my camera and missed out on some great photo ops. Isley met her 2nd cousins for the first time and had a blast with them. They are a couple of years older so we have to watch how rough they play together, but they played pretty well and Isley only had one ball in the face.
Isley took her first trip to the zoo. She loved it- she is a big fan of animals and laughed and screamed with joy at all of them. She especially enjoyed the polar bear swimming around and the swinging monkeys. There were also petting farm goats that she tried to get at, but since she would have probably tried to lick them I thought it best we didn't take any chances.
We had a fabulous time with family and miss them already.
My mom put chapstick on Isley and she licked her lips and tried to eat the chapstick- will be hiding mine from now on.

Fishy, Fishy!

We took Isley to dinner with us the other night and Daddy let her gnaw on the rib bones after he cleaned them up. I took pictures on my phone, but don't know how to download them yet. She had rib all over her face and topped it off with some vegetable baby food when we got home. She loves to eat and to get dirty.
I took her to the pool for the first time. She loved it!! I didn't know how she would react because when we take the dogs to the river and throw them in she cries and screams, but she loved the water and the kids in the pool. I had to wrestle her out to go home. She is officially walking. Not running yet, but I am sure that is soon to come.

Swimsuit from Jona. It is a little big, but so adorable.

Hiking

We took a little hiking trip a few weekends ago with the whole family- Mom, dad, Isley, Koal and Ash. It takes a lot to take a baby out for that long. We had to take two carriers- one for when she was awake that Corey carried and one for nap time that I carried. I ended up carrying her most of the way up and Corey carried her down . Everyone had fun and we had a nice little picnic when we got back to the truck.
